As a family exploring Leiden, we truly enjoyed our stay at Doelen. The historical charm of this hotel, located on a bustling street where Holland's first university stands proud, added a unique touch to our vacation. With our little one under 16 excitedly pointing out the royal family's favorite spots, the central location couldn't have been better.Our cozy room provided a comfortable retreat after busy days, offering a lovely view of the lively Noordeinde and Breestraat intersection. As parents with a baby under 2, we appreciated the family-friendly amenities like the complimentary water for the shower and the in-room tea and coffee makers, making our mornings smoother.The breakfast spread was hearty, catering to both our adult and child's tastes, and the friendly staff were always accommodating, even after our stay. While the hotel has some areas that could be modernized, its welcoming atmosphere and convenient location make it a worthwhile choice for families seeking a memorable stay in Leiden.
